Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976
in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents.
Sarah is the middle child having one older sister Natasha Chalke, and one
younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in a TV-made film called
City Boy (1992). Following her debut film she auditioned for the role of Becky
in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. After Alicia Goranson left the show to go to
college, the show was searching for someone to replace her. Sarah completed her
high school degree in 1995 while filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne (1988) season.
In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In
1996, she was in two films that included Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand
Against Fear (1996) where she played a cheerleadernamed "Krista
Wilson". In 1998, one year after Roseanne (1988) ended, Sarah was asked to
play a character in a TV show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). It
was based on the TV film of the same name that was titled Nothing Too Good for
a Cowboy (1998) which Sarah was also in. In 1993, she took over Becky's part on
Roseanne (1988). She told her she was looking to end her acting career and go
to college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sibling on Roseanne
(1988), although she is much younger in real life. Participated in the 1999
CCMA Awards ceremony, and was awarded the prize for the top single. (September,
1999) At age 8 appeared in Vancouver stage productions. She is fluent in French
and German. She works at a hospital where children with terminal illnesses are
treated . She also works with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke likes
cooking with her group of friends, especially Thai and sushi, and playing
guitar. She also likes to ski (she is an instructor) and kayaking, as well as
snowboarding as well as reading. Her father is a lawyer, and her parents are
mediators. They also operate an agency for the adoption of children. Her
parents took her to China in order to oversee the adoptions of many orphans.
