Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist.
She previously worked as a TV correspondent for ABC News. She is famous for her
role as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 until 2018 and also
in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to in 2018. In the past, she
anchors World News Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she
worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position
at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She was employed in radio sales, because
television was not a viable option. After one year working as a production
assistant with WKEF/WRGT. She was then able to report and anchor periodically.
She was the anchor for weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati as well as the anchor
for weekdays for WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. Her contract was
terminated and she became a reporter as well as an anchor for NBC affiliate
WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 until December 2011. She was hired by ABC
News the news division in December. She first made an appearance on ABC News
for their World News Now and America This Morning on January 2, 2012. She also
appeared on Good Morning America's fill-in programme, Good Morning America, on
January 2, 2012. Later she was made a New York-based correspondent on all ABC
News programs. She was host of America This Morning and World News Now's final
episode on January 22 2013. On August 9, 2014, she debuted as co-anchor on Good
Morning America Weekend, after the departure of Bianna Golodryga. Golodryga
moved to Yahoo! News. ABC announced that she will be joining The View as a
cohost for season 19. The contract was renewed by ABC for the 20th season on
the 3rd of August. Season 21 also got renewed thanks to her hosting duties as
co-hosts. She was the most prominent in the 21st and 22nd seasons on the
series.
