Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born March 23 of 1976. She is well-known for her roles as the main character in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015), and Patriots Day (2016). Her lead role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her respect. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She also starred as Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after one season. Monaghan was born to Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob and John are her older brothers. Monaghan has mostly Irish and German ancestry and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. After graduation, Monaghan relocated to Chicago to study journalism and later began modeling. She has also modelled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore in addition to the United States. She quit New York for an acting career after finishing her journalism degree in 1999. Prior to becoming an actor, she worked as models and has appeared in numerous magazines and catalogs. Monaghan's two first television credits, both as a supporting character, were for episodes of Young Americans in 2000. Her second appearance on television was in Law & Order: Special Victims United in "Consent" that aired on January 19, 2001. In addition, she made her debut on screen in Perfume that year in the role of Henrietta. Her next film, this time as a supporting character, was in 2002 in Unfaithful with Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
