Annie Wersching Bio

Annie Wersching (born March 28, 1977) is an American actor who is known for her role as Renee Walker in the American television show 24 as well as her voice and motion capture for the character of Tess in Naughty Dog's video game The Last of Us. Wersching was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was raised in the city. She went to high school at Crossroads College Preparatory School in the Central West End of St. Louis and graduated in 1995. During her youth, she competed in Irish dance and was part of the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers. Millikin University gave her a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, which she received in 1999. Wersching's acting journey began with a guest appearance in Star Trek: Enterprise. Later, Wersching was invited to appear on guest shows such as Charmed and Killer Instinct. From March through November 2007 she was the regular character as Amelia Joffe on the ABC Daytime soap show General Hospital. In addition, she has worked in theatres such as Victory Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire, and the Utah Shakespearean Festival.Wersching played FBI Special Agent Renee Walker in the seventh and eighth seasons of 24.After her two-season stint in 24 Wersching was a guest on several shows such as CSI, NCIS, Rizzoli and Isles, Hawaii Five-0, Body of Proof, Dallas, Revolution, Castle, Blue Bloods, The Vampire Diaries and Touch (which features the co-star of 24 Kiefer Sutherland). She also appeared as a series regular on Bosch, an Amazon Prime crime-show Bosch in 2014. Wersching played the National League's catcher on 2009's Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. In December 2012, it was revealed that Wersching played the voice actor and mo-cap actor for Tess in the PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us. Geoff Keighley teased her character on Twitter, before she was revealed in the Spike Video Game Awards story trailer on December 7th, 2012. Wersching was to be cast in the part of the Borg Queen on Star Trek: Picard in September 2021.
