Alexa Davalos Bio
Alexa Davalos Dunas, born May 28th, 1982 was an American
actress. Gwen Raiden
was her first part on the TV series Angel (2002-03). The character was followed
by a number of Hollywood films, including Feast of Love (2007) and Feast of
Love (2008). Reunion (2006) as well as
Frank Darabont's Mob City (2013) also included her. She played the lead character in the Amazon Studios series
The Man in the High Castle (2015-1999). Davalos
was the daughter of the actor Richard Davalos and Elyssa Davalos. Davalos was
born in France to American parents Jeff Dunas, a photographer and Elyssa
Davalos who was an actor. Davalos was
raised in France, Italy and New York. Davalos
said that she curses more in French than she does in English. On the side of her mother she is of Finnish as well as
Spanish descent. Her family name could be
spelled "Davalos" in Spanish with an accent on the "a". Her paternal ancestors came of Vilnius, Lithuania. While she was not raised with any religion however, she did
go to Hebrew school for a time. Davalos
relocated to New York City on her own at the age of seventeen years old. Davalos made a living by modelling for Peter Lindbergh
photographers. She recollects, "I had
a purpose." "I wanted to create
my own thing in the world." After
working in a theater and observing the stage, it was clear that I was destined
to become an actor. She was a part of the
Off-Broadway Flea Theatre in New York, where her enthusiasm for acting quickly
grew.
